Where MyGolfSpy's robot dropped the MAX into the lower half of its field on distance and forgiveness, the Qi4D took MyGolfSpy's Best Driver 2026 outright, pairing tour-validated speed with exceptional dispersion, plus Golf Digest Hot List and GolfWRX Best Driver nods. The Darkspeed X was the most accurate driver in MyGolfSpy's high-swing-speed testing and a Golf Digest 2024 Gold Medal winner — a genuine all-rounder for handicaps from scratch to 20 — and since the DS-Adapt successor launched it's down to $299 clearance from $549. If the MAX's $599-and-no-discounts sticker is your only objection, this is the value play that undercuts it by $300.

The GT4 is an ultra-low-spin weapon for elite ball-strikers chasing maximum distance — if you spin it over 3,000 RPM and find the center, there may not be a longer driver on the market. It rewards exactly the shot-shaping inputs the high-MOI MAX resists, and after a price drop it's now $449, down from $649.

The G440 K is PING's most forgiving driver ever, with a record-setting 10,300+ MOI and a 32-gram adjustable back weight that dials in real draw bias the neutral MAX can't match. For high-handicappers who want the absolute outer limit of stability and anti-slice help, the oversized K goes further than the MAX in the one area the MAX is already known for.
